"Play for someone today"

Updated: Apr 5, 2021

According to senior, Kaitlyn Weis, the softball team aims to make every game count.

One bat, one pitch, one catch, one run for all. The team had a losing record last season but return with certain goals in mind to improve on their previous season.

“I hope to see us coming together as a team and stress a team aspect of the sport because it is very important,” Weis said. “It is your at-bat, your error, you're on the mound pitching,it is you all the time, but in the big picture you cannot win by yourself.”

The softball team is showing this on the field before the season begins with the help of the seniors giving inspirational words to their teammates.

“Play for someone today,” Weis said. “Whether that be your grandparents, your mom, dad, or sister and always play for each other.”

The team is working on making that family bond within the team, in hopes that it will bring them closer together and generate a successful season.

“Great work”, “Family”, “Cats”, Softball team yells.
